problem
The creator of The Orange and Brown Report wanted to assess the usability of his website. He wanted to increase user enjoyment and user friendliness.
solution
By running small scale usability tests, meaning only two or three participants, we could gather some useful data to deliver several usability recommendations to the creator of The Orange and Brown Report.
This usability study was part of a UX course taught at Michigan Technological University. The professor is friends with the creator of The Orange and Brown Report, so we had an easy in to a higher stake usability assessment.

This usability assessment was built from the ground up by myself and my other group member. All we were given was a general outline, so we drafted the screening questions, tasks, questions, and overall study design. This was a bit of a challenge as all our previous study design in this class was completed by the professor.
Before starting the usability assessment, we were given time to explore the website for ourselves and begin thinking of our own usability recommendations. After completing the usability tests, most if not all of my initial recommendations and concerns were brought up by our participants.
